A concert by Danny Becher is a meditative journey travelling through different inner landscapes. Instruments vary from tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls, lithophones – black tuned rajasthani granit stones to the voice, kalimba, bowls from thailand and japan and gongs from Burma and China.

Born 1953 in braunschweig, germany > giving seminars on musical phenomena, workshops in sound-awareness, concerts and classes since 1981 in different european countries. –
Before that he had been living in India for 9 years, working in an Ayurvedic Institute, and as designer in a multi-cultural-centre. Side by that he studied yoga and indian classical music. – Activities include solo-concerts, concerts in different formations, as conductor for choirs, workshops and demonstrations.

The affectus generated during a concert by Danny Becher can be understood as a multidimensional response involving physiological relaxation, heightened interoceptive awareness and gentle emotional release. The combination of overtone singing, resonant frequencies and structured silence facilitates a shift toward parasympathetic activation, enabling states of meditative presence. Participants frequently report increased clarity, emotional softening and a sense of expanded inner space. In this context, the concert functions not merely as a musical event but as a somatic‑acoustic intervention that supports integration, grounding and subtle psychophysiological regulation.

CYMATIC research
Cymatics is the study of vibrational frequencies manifested as sound and seen as form. These shapes can be seen in the vibrational movement of a string, the Cladni sound patterns on metal plates and as the movements of the watersurface which is set into resonance by specific frequencies, instruments, the voice or complex music . In addition to the musical effect of the singing bowls and a Chinese gong, pulsating sounds between the right and left bowls create a vibrational pattern. This pattern can tune brainwaves into alpha and theta states.
